1. General Information
HikeTheNorth / Beautiful Norway provides personalized outdoor experiences, trip planning assistance, hiking inspiration, local recommendations, and small-group nature experiences in Norway.
Our experiences are designed to help visitors discover scenic destinations, mountain cabins, hiking routes, and authentic outdoor environments in a relaxed and accessible way.
We do not provide certified alpine guiding, technical mountain instruction, or extreme outdoor expeditions.
By participating in any experience or using our services, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
2. Nature of Our Services

3. Participation Requirements
Participants must:
- Be physically capable of participating in light to moderate outdoor activities
- Wear appropriate clothing and footwear
- Bring necessary personal equipment, food, water, and medication if needed
- Follow local rules, nature regulations, and reasonable instructions during activities
Participants are responsible for honestly assessing whether an experience is suitable for their physical condition and experience level.
4. Health & Medical Conditions
Participants must inform us in advance about:
- serious medical conditions
- injuries
- allergies
- mobility limitations
- any condition that could affect participation
Failure to disclose relevant information may result in exclusion from the activity without refund if safety concerns arise.

5. Weather & Outdoor Conditions
Outdoor conditions in Norway can change rapidly.
Experiences may be:
- adjusted
- shortened
- postponed
- cancelled
due to:
- weather conditions
- terrain safety
- road conditions
- environmental considerations
Safety and reasonable judgment always take priority.
6. Alcohol & Substance Policy
For safety and comfort reasons:
- alcohol
- illegal drugs
- intoxicating substances
are strictly prohibited before and during outdoor activities.
Participants who appear intoxicated or behave irresponsibly may be refused participation or removed from the experience without refund.
7. Personal Responsibility
All outdoor activities involve natural risks, including:
- uneven terrain
- changing weather
- slips or falls
- natural environmental conditions
Participants acknowledge that they take part voluntarily and remain responsible for their own decisions and participation during outdoor activities.
HikeTheNorth / Beautiful Norway cannot guarantee completely risk-free experiences in natural environments.

8. Liability Disclaimer
Outdoor activities in natural environments involve inherent risks, including changing weather, uneven terrain and unforeseen conditions.
HikeTheNorth / Beautiful Norway shall not be held liable for:
accidents or injuries
illness or medical issues
lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings
delays, route changes or cancellations caused by weather, road conditions, traffic or circumstances beyond reasonable control
except in cases of gross negligence under applicable Norwegian law.
Participants take part voluntarily and remain responsible for:
their own physical condition
personal decisions during activities
appropriate clothing and footwear
following reasonable safety recommendations
HikeTheNorth / Beautiful Norway strongly recommends that all participants have valid:
travel insurance
health insurance
personal accident insurance
covering outdoor activities during their stay in Norway.
9. Transport Policy
Transport may be:
- included
- partially included
- arranged separately
depending on the experience.
If transport is offered:
- meeting points will be agreed in advance
- additional transportation costs may apply for custom pick-up arrangements
Participants are responsible for arriving on time at the agreed meeting location unless otherwise arranged.

10. Accommodation & Cabin Stays
Accommodation suggestions and cabin recommendations are provided as part of the experience planning.
Unless explicitly stated:
- accommodation costs are not included
- participants remain responsible for their own bookings and accommodation agreements
HikeTheNorth / Beautiful Norway is not responsible for third-party accommodation providers.
11. Group Size
Most experiences are designed for:
- individuals
- couples
- families
- small groups of up to 4 participants
This allows for a more relaxed, personal and flexible experience.
12. Family & Children Policy
Family-friendly experiences are available for suitable routes and destinations.
Parents or legal guardians remain fully responsible for:
- supervising children
- ensuring children follow instructions
- assessing whether an activity is suitable for the child
Children must remain under supervision at all times during outdoor activities.
13. Photography & Media
Photos and videos may occasionally be taken during experiences for promotional purposes.
Participants who do not wish to appear in photographs should inform us in advance.

Participants agree to:
- respect wildlife and nature
- follow Leave No Trace principles
- avoid damaging natural environments
- comply with Norwegian outdoor regulations and local rules
15. Booking & Payments
Prices and payment conditions are communicated individually depending on:
- destination
- group size
- transport arrangements
- accommodation preferences
Bookings are confirmed only after agreement between both parties.

16. Cancellations
Participants should notify us as early as possible if they need to cancel.
Experiences may be cancelled or adjusted due to:
- severe weather
- unsafe conditions
- unforeseen circumstances
In such cases, alternative arrangements or refunds may be discussed individually.
17. Privacy
Personal information shared during communication or booking will only be used for:

What to Bring & What to Expect
Norwegian weather can change quickly, even during summer. Proper clothing and equipment will help you stay comfortable, safe, and enjoy your experience to the fullest.

Hiking Shoes
A good pair of hiking shoes or hiking boots is strongly recommended.
Your footwear should:

Be comfortable for several hours of walking
Provide support on uneven terrain
Be suitable for wet conditions
